Throughout the making of Connie’s new EP “The Hunted,” produced by Yonatan Elkayam, many musical doors were not only unlocked, but also blown wide open! Taking the time to really develop the sound, the approach, and the songwriting, Connie and Yonatan were able to find the juxtapositions that would properly reflect her truest expression. Contrasts between Connie’s sweet sounding voice and the edgier music or between her melancholy lyrics and her up beat melodies fell right into Yonatan’s realm of expertise. “There She Walks Again” is a perfect example of their collaborative efforts…Yonatan’s feel and harmonic movement were vehicles for Connie to tell a story about a painfully abusive relationship. At first glance, there is a jovial and simple energy to this song, but in truth it is quite heartbreaking and complex.
