Dan Tai is an individual who enjoys the simple pleasures of life; being surrounded by family is one of the most important things to him. Although much of his immediate family resides quite a distance away, Dan Tai has created a family feeling with his close friends. He loves to cook, and in his words is “on a quest to recreate those flavors from my home town, that my grandmother used to put on the table. I often call my mom for cooking tips.” Through both music and cuisine Dan-Tai has explored different cultures, falling in love with the best of what they have to offer. Constantly hungry for new experiences, he enjoys what Los Angeles brings to the table, with a flare for everything from Japanese sake houses to German beer taverns. Every now and then Dan Tai pulls his binoculars out and stares out into the cosmos. He says, “I am humbled that among all these stars and planets, I am alive in it.”
