Eli and Yonatan met in college when they both showed up one day to a recording session. Although the project they played on was short lived, the immediate rapport and chemistry led them to years of deep collaboration and real friendship. When Yonatan developed the Avant-Garde Ensemble at USC, Eli was a key ingredient and avid supporter from day one. Their mutual respect and admiration has brought them together for some of their most personal projects as Yonatan has produced Eli’s records, and Eli has played on countless recording for Yonatan. Together they compose flim/tv music that has it’s own identity altogether, fusing their different strengths. Yonatan is constantly inspired by Eli’s musicality and sincerity, while Eli takes inspiration from Yonatan’s clear and concise workflow. He says, “Yonatan is a great communicator with clear vision and articulation, he is conscious of everybody’s vibe in the room, and never gets in the way of momentum.” This bond ensures more projects together for years to come.
